11//10//02 - Snorcheling at Nusa Penida

On the second day on Nusa Lembongan the surf wasn't quite good - small swell and a little bit onshore wind.

The night before at the cockfight we met someone who told us that he owns a boat and could take us to a place at Nusa Penida that is good for snorcheling.

So we took the chance to see some more of the underwater world around Bali.

Snorcheling was a lot of fun because at the place where we went into the water there was a current that dragged you all along the reef, so that actually fins were not really necessary. Only if you wanted to have a closer look at something, you had to use the fins to swim against the current.

As one can see in the pictures, the waterhousing can also be used for snorcheling and not only for taking surf pictures. We took it down to about 3m under water without problems.
