22//08//02 - From SIN to DPS
This morning we just had a short breakfast in downtown Singapore.
After a shower the airport shuttle transfer took us from the hotel back to the airport.
We had to wait approx. one hour for boarding so we had a look around at the airport.
The time passed quickly by enjoying the architecture with lots of plants and free internet access in all imaginable ways (Ethernet, Dial-Up, Infrared).
In contrast to the first flight it was just a short hop of two and a half hours to the island of Bali.
At Bali airport we had lots of helpers who wanted to carry our bags so that we almost had to fight to carry them by ourselves. All passengers of our flight who already had been to Bali didn't call on their help. How come? ;-)
We bought a voucher at the taxi counter and were taken to the Mekar Jaya which we planned to be our first stop.
After checking the room we decided to have a short look at the beach.
Unfortunately the sun was already setting, so there was not enough time to get into the water with our boards. Anyway the surf was ok with fast waves and a medium crowd.
